Back in the 50’s IPSAL was THE first producer of floor covering in the middle-east. Nowadays IPSAL has a Large stocks of flooring and a strong expertise in the field.
The story of three generations
Back in the 50’s, Radiologist Mr. Georges Eddé, acquired IPSAL. The company’s production of flooring located in the industrial zone of Mikalis (Lebanon). His innovative business approach, lead him to become the first producer and exporter of PVC flooring in the Middle-East.
His factory which still exists till this day, was located at a dead-end street; where professionals of the field liked to gather early morning for a coffee before heading to their sites in their cars with stuffed floor material in their trunks.
IPSAL, like others Lebanese firms, went through all the tribulations of Lebanon; civil wars, bombardment, destruction and endless complexities of the Lebanese economic and political situation.
Nevertheless, local production and significant inventory provided IPSAL the opportunity to adapt and cope with adverse economic situations.
IPSAL eventually developed its activities strategically and internationally, taking over the East European region and France with unlimited global coverage.
Georges’ wisdom was passed to the 2nd generation of IPSAL managers. And because of this wisdom, IPSAL’s personnel are well trained and technically experienced individuals.
Soon, the 3rd generation of managers will take over, announcing new and challenging developments to make IPSAL an international leading player in the world of flooring.
Since 2021, IPSAL Lebanon has also been involved in a necessary corporate restructuring period. As a first step we introduced a new management team with the objective to develop and perform business in Lebanon and its neighboring nations.
Georges left us in 2017, as he wished, he worked till his last days.
